I'm the author of fifteen humor and self help books, including Not Guilty by Reason of Menopause, Bedtime Stories for Dogs and Bedtime Stories for Cats, Don't Get Mad, Get Funny, and Are You Playing With Me? For seven years, I was regular humor writer for Family Circle Magazine and for eight, I was the weekly humor columnist for The Comic News.
My piece, The First Time's Always the Worst, about how my first mammogram caught on fire, won the 2003 Erma Bombeck Humor Writing competition.
When not writing, I'm a corporate comic (kind of like a class clown, but I get paid and I don't throw spit balls), a comedy instructor and coach, a stress management expert, and a stand-up comedian. The rest of the time, I'm in a coma.
i enjoy gardening, harassing bill collectors and avoiding work.
